I was sitting with Joanne mid-week, and we worked out that we had not had a full weekend at home for over a month. We were in Dubai for a weekend, then England for three and then we did Greyton. So, this weekend was kinda “leave the car in the garage” and chill at home.
I managed to sign these new additions. Having some fun with some old stencils.
SOLD OUT. The last Gold Money Tree. Acrylic on paper with the tree in two colour Silkscreen by Wim from Black River Studio's. We have decided to do the other 6 colour's now. Copper, Bronze, Pearl, Rose Gold, Champagne and Silver.
I sat down on Sunday and tried to remember what I did all week. I remember binge watching Clarkson’s Farm and that is about it.
I did what I normally do and checked my phone for reference to what I did all week. And all I found was a lot of photos of my art and Ignatius Marx’s art. Joanne and I have started a small business to help other artists on the Secondary market.
Popped in to see John on Wednesday at Hout Bay Gallery.
Loving these little bronze artworks by Landia Davies.
Then we popped in to see Nick Atkinson of IN-FIN-ART. Whoaaa. We caught up and reminisced about the good old days 20 years ago.
Lunch at one of my favourite Burger Joints. I saw a post by Liam Nailson that he is doing a Mexican Burger special at all Hudson Burger bars. So that will be the next stop this week.
It is a major honour, as I always go on about, to have your art for sale on the secondary market. I still remember when my first pieces appeared in 2013.
Here is the Catalogue form 2013.
Ta daaaaaaaaaaa.
To be alongside William Kentridge was an honor.
And Takashi Murakami.
Any Warhol.
I even got to feature on the back page in the index.
Anyway, the whole week was cataloguing and PDF-ing. It was a lot of fun.
I found a Menu David Higgs gave me from his restaurant SAINT when I was last in Johannesburg. I decided to do what I do best and turn it into art.
There it is.
Auto Vivendi shared a photo on Instagram that i captured and re posted. Fond memories of our time there a few weeks back. Thanks again to Craig.
The weekend came quite quick, and Joanne and I decided to also start running again. Saturday, we did the road and Sunday the beach. My legs were killing me as I had not run for ages.
I may not look it but my lungs are burning.
Cooking with the love of my life, Joanne. Those are Vegetarian Skewers for the braai.
Saturday Joanne and I prepped the Richard Scott famous chicken curries for Sunday lunch. It was Victoire’s Birthday lunch, so we did one of her favourites which was Butter Chicken. Everyone came around and all went silent at lunch time. You know its good if everyone is quiet.
Nom Nom. Clockwise from top left: Briayani, Chicken Tikka, Garam and Butter chicken. From the stove.
To the Table.
The rest of Sunday was backgammon. Joanne thrashed me 3-0 then 2-1.
Until next Sunday, thanks for reading.
