Richard Scott Blog: 2 April 2023
This week was very different to others. I decided to get stuck into the Tequila project and arrange an exhibition at Eye Art in Johannesburg.
I was searching around for some old photos of works I did in 2001 and found these. I thought I’d share them with you from 2001:
Monday I completed the Unicorn print as a commission for one of Tyrone’s clients.

We got news this week that Angelina will be treated to a 10 day holiday in Switzerland, Germany and Austria skiing with one her besties Emma. Emma’s family had a trip planned and one of the kids had to opted out so Angelina landed her bum in the butter with her UK passport and off she went with Emma and her dad Richard and the gang.
Bon Voyage Angelina
Tuesday I popped in to see Rashieq at ORMS to sign 2 large Candy Prints for clients. One collector in Johannesburg and one in Hermanus.

I met with Theo and Mzukisi again from Imibala to formulate a partnership on an Art Project. We made great progress.

As I was leaving a Swedish couple popped in to say hello so I turned around and took them to the shop and introduced them to Chad. Its great to have people who are from around the world. Google Ads is working.
I didn’t catch the Gentleman’s name but his wife Nina has a friend in Sweden whose mad about my art, so they had to pop in.
Friday morning I popped into the shop to drop off a Gold Tree print for a customer Carel from Belgium. Then I went to see Simba and Robin at Robin Sprong Wallpaper. We are working on the new Wallet. I gifted Robin and Simba each a Richard Scott 3D Key-ring and they both put it on their keys immediately. Robin is a good man. Transparent, that’s why he is successful.

Cool pic of a reflection of Robin looking at the wallets being printed.
Then I popped into see Jan Dre and Mervyn to discuss the Tequila Bottle. That went very well and is a go go go. Hold on tight. I’m aiming at mid year launch.

Saturday, Joanne and I went to Neil Jewell’s at the Spice route for a light lunch. The Hostess said that were very lucky because Neil never serves a Table. Hee Hee. Neil and I go back many years, like 15 when I first discovered his Charcuterie. He is the best in the world at it. Angelina and I even spent 3 days with him back in 2018 to cut up our own pig and make our own bacon and all sorts of yum yum charcuterie which we took home.

Saturday night Joanne and I binge watched Below Deck on Netflix. It took a while to get into it but its quite entertaining and mind numbing. We’re gonna try finish the rest of it today as all the kids are either away or studying.
We did go for a long beach run this morning which was long overdue. It was very misty and beautiful.
Until next Sunday (Easter)
Enjoy

P.S. Oops, I forgot to post the Blog yesterday. I normally post it at 3pm South African time but Joanne and I had some time alone and decided to binge watch Below Deck on Netflix from 12pm again. We stopped at 9pm and finished a whole season then went to bed. I woke up at 5:08am and realized I hadn’t posted my blog yet. Yikes.
