Monday was tough after spending 3 nice days at home with Joanne. The guys came over to the studio and we had a good catchup and got packing the works for the show on the 5th of December at Steyn City Art Gallery.
I signed a few prints that were going out to collectors and that was basically it.
Sticker bombing my new laptop.
Doing what I do best.
Wanna go for a ride?
Messing about a bit. Does not quite fit. Candy Mandy, 2m x 1m.
Tuesday I went into town with Joanne and dropped her and then headed to Wynberg, with Angelique to do a drop off and see Nick at IN_FIN Art. We were a little early, so we tried the trendy spot Four & Twenty, for coffee and a light breakfast. I can highly recommend the place. Angelique and I sat with our laptops open going through the TO-DO list for the week, the coming month and to end off the year.
Four & Twenty
After coffee we popped in to say hi to Nick. It was good to see him and have a quick catch up.
Nick at IN-FIN has my signs on the wall.
Then it was off to our next meeting with Lucy and Leigh of HOPE Gin. I just struck a deal with Mother City Liquors and wanted to share it with them as they are my partners with my Richard Scott My Girls Gin.
Beautiful to see the distillery in action. I always wanted to distill.
It was great to catch up with them and see that there still flying hi with the HOPE Gin. So awesome to see successful businesses thrive.
We had time to kill so we headed to see John at Hout Bay Gallery to drop off some stickers and then off to see Jono at Step Brothers. He has now opened up his restaurant near the stadium and it was really good to see him after so long. I did a Joyride Vespa exhibition when his restaurant was in Greenpoint. The good old days.
Had a good catch up with John and learnt a lot about the Karate world from his friend Clarence.

Good old Jono.
Then I popped into to see the National Parks and Forest Board near Table Mountain. I want to get a permit to collect wood. I have the vehicle and I burn more than 6000 pieces of wood a year, so I might as well add wood collecting to my foraging bucket list.
Then it was picking Joanne up and head to WOK Bar, just off Kloof Street. They are hosting a November Tuesday special on their signature dishes. This Tuesday it was Mongolian Beef, and it was delicious. NOM NOM.
Then home for a a feast as Ben was here from Dubai.
Yeah, great to see Ben. Amy and Thorn also popped in.
Wednesday I sat at my computer re-designing the Big 5 bronze sculptures. I was just not quite happy with the designs. The more I worked on them the more I realised I was adding to much detail and breaking away from my simple style. So, I am gonna ask a few people what they think. I will revert.
Some new works. Gold Graffiti paint on paper.
Thursday was the same as Wednesday. Computer, computer, and computer. Blah stuff.
Marco Garbero popped in to see me.
All the way from Hout Bay to Melkbos.
Spotted these wooden Cats hiding in my studio. Dark Pink.
And light Pink.
Friday we woke up late as Joanne was working from home. The studio opens at 9am on a Friday, so we all get to chill a bit.
Joanne and I went for a run around the block and then it was time to get to work.
We all pitched in and worked on the Sabrina Love auction packing and invoicing and shipping etc. Once a year I do a dedicated Charity auction to help raise funds for over 10 organisations. So, there was a lot of buzz in the air.
I did manage to steel some time away to spray paint 4 champagne bottles for a presentation on Tuesday. Also, news to follow.
Messing about with Champagne.
Saturday I got up early to watch the Tyson fight, but like everyone in the world Netflix was dead. The rest of Saturday I potted about.
Sunday was up early and start prepping the first Crayfish Braai of the year. Shombie was in town and brought his German friends with.
A few pics from Sunday afternoon.
Until next Sunday
