Monday to Wednesday was same same. 3 packed days of Admin, meetings and lots of strategy. With a dab of studio time.
I found these little Pastel Sketches I did in 2004. I thought I would share them with you. My Bee.
Don't fly away, my ladybird.
My Dragonfly
Thursday morning is when the week actually started. I was supposed to go into town with Joanne but decided to work on the Auction project with Chad. Joanne managed to drag herself out of bed half sick and go to work. That did not last long as she was home by 12.
I worked on Shombies WhatsApp Charity Auction Shombies BUS group with Chad. You are welcome to join it. It goes live next Sunday 16th at 8pm. Here is the link to join the Live Auction. Click here to get the invite:
Shombie helps a small school in Mitchells Plain called Community Kids Pot. They look after 80 small children with schooling and food and shelter.
3 Stencils that will be on auction. I did them purposely in the colours of the German Flag. Black Tammy.
Red Mandy
Yellow Ana
The rest of Thursday was looking after Joanne on the couch.
Friday, we woke up and got going. First was a Vitamin B injection and then we headed off to Hermanus to support Joshua with the Hermanus Art Walk. We took a nice slow drive. Stopped at Perigrene for PADKOS and then on the road again. We arrived at our spot, checked in, and were off to get a few supplies. Mostly wood to keep the house warm. Chad and Amy arrived, and we were chatting Shombie Auction. Shombie added up to 37 participants and we were messaging them individually to say thank you for joining the Auction and WhatsApp shut us down or rather put us into REVIEW. We panicked a little but were confident it was just their bots thinking we were spamming people.
Dressing warmly. Fires going.
Then Angelique and Clint arrived and we were off to see Joshua.
It was great to see all the galleries participating. We hung out at Rossouw Modern and caught up with some good old friends from all the years back. Joshua invited us for supper at Theos Greek Restaurant around the corner, which was amazing, as always. After supper we all decided to go for a after dinner drink into the night at the local Bojangles. It was a lot of fun to let our hair down.
Do you know who is who?
The man himself. One of a handful of people who are responsible for my success. Thanks Joshua.
Catching up with Joshua's right hand lady Liz.
Myself, Joanne, Amy, Chad, Theo (owner) Joshua and Angelique.
Saturday morning, we woke up too late to go see the main feature but decided it all happens for a good reason and our purpose was to support Joshua. We said our goodbyes and checked out and headed home.
Saturday afternoon was another couch day as we were exhausted. We agreed we cannot keep up with the youngsters. We binge watched a few movies and The Rookie till late at night.
Sunday was a beautiful morning. It was sunny and bright but very chilly. Winter is definitely here and nipping at our heals. I got stuck into the blog and Joanne did what she does best on a Sunday: Cooking. She was hell bent on learning how to make Potato bake because I bought a whole pocket of potatoes last week. I mainly bought it so that when they root, I want to plant them in the new big vegetable garden and grow our own potatoes.
The kids came over for lunch. We decided on a Braai. Winter was not gonna stop us from Braai-ing.
Until Next Sunday.
Remember to join the Shombie WhatsApp group and help me help others.
