Sunday after the Vespa ride, Joanne and I plonked ourselves down on the couch and both agreed we need to go on more Vespa rides. Firstly, it was great to get our swim in the sea and secondly, our core mussels were not that strong, as we both suffered with a bit of back pain from sitting on the Vespa for over an hour each way.
So Angelina is just about ready to drive herself to UCT and back. I drove in with her Monday and Tuesday and she has it waxed. I didn’t realize how impatient people are these days when a new driver is doing the speed limit and they come whizzing past waving hands and honking on their horn. I am astonished how impatient and entitled people are on the road.
The framed REBUL sprayed pieces came back from the framers. I absolutely love these works. To take a used crate that travelled around the country, and in some cases the world, is so cool. These two pieces are available form the Gallery in Woodstock.

Tuesday I was gallivanting and found myself in my favorite shop: Shelflife. Buying Graffiti spray paint for the new pieces.
One of each please.
Wednesday I was at the studio catching up. If you have your own business you would like me, probably have been talking to your auditors all week as it’s the end of the financial year. Blah stuff.
I was out in the garden and spotted a butterfly laying eggs on our kale plant growing in the vegetable garden. The rest of the day was searching emails and bank statements.
This butterfly was completely in a trans laying eggs.
Thursday was a shop day again. This time Hendrik came in and gave the place a good spring clean.
Extra little bit goes a long way.
Hang it like a BOSS.
Johan popped in to get some advice on his own art career.
Can you guess what I am up to?
The inspiration for the collaboration.
Friday, we worked from home and it was another admin day. It's been a full blown admin week. Joanne and I managed to get a few runs in this week on the beach. We were aiming for 4 and managed to do it.
Saturday, we decided to go to the Chinese market in Century City which wasn’t all that great, so we went grocery shopping. We also went to the butcher to get some pork belly and lard to make pork pies. I've been dying for a decent pork pie since Joanne and I ate the one in Epernay, outside Paris back in September. So, I googled it and gave it a go on Saturday and then again on Sunday. I made a few mistakes and did not have the right pan. I should have done the sausage roll style one and not the traditional British one. I also only used pork belly and not shoulder. On the way home Joanne treated me to take away fish and chips from the best fish and chip shop in Cape Town - Central Fish and Chips - which we ate at Blouberg beach.
Nom Nom Fish and Chips
Sunday was Sunday lunch again with the family. We tried to move it to Friday night with not much success. So, I guess Joanne and I are cooking again Saturdays and Sundays. Think were gonna open a restaurant.
Beach run with the love of my life Joanne. We got caught in the rain. Highlight of my week.
Making Ginger and Turmeric Shots.
Hot water crust.
Super Chuffed with myself. My first Pork Pie. More to come.
Until next Sunday.
