Sunday came and went very quickly. Joanne and I binge watched Sex Education on Netflix. We agreed that Summer was coming and decided to start running again and getting back to summer fitness so up nice and early. I once again went in on Monday to get the month of October going with a bang. After all Sunday was 1 October and the season starts now. Joanne and I drove into town and we were early as the schools were on holiday. It was quite refreshing. Table mountain looked absolutely beautiful and we both felt very blessed to be able to enjoy it in all its glory as the sun slowly creeping from the top of the mountain down as it rose up from the east. Joanne commented that the sun was warming her face.
So we got to our destinations nice and early. Angelique was also in nice and early and Chad had the day off. I caught up with banking and sales with Angelique and then I had a meeting with my ceramics guys to discuss the possibility of mass production of the Tequila decanters. They are the only guys who have a set up ready to go to produce 200 decanters a month if needed. Then I popped back to the Gallery and had a quick chat to Andre. He was looking for some red wine barrels to brew the latest Sugar Man, a Belgian Quad. I put him in contact with Les from High Road Wine and bingo deal done.
Chad offered to take me to his hairdresser for a haircut. It was next level. I loved the extra attention. SOLD. You must try them.
Meet some of the legends at Urban Men
Back to the Gallery and keep ticking boxes.
Tuesday I was back in the Gallery. This time checking all the specs on the Tequila decanter. Chad and I had a meeting with the cork company African Cellar Supplies to discuss the specifications of the cork. I didn’t realize you could build an entire business around supplying people in the liquor industry with just corks. Amazing. Then back to the Gallery to meet Sean Weldon, but I was running late and also got a call from Selwyn for an urgent meeting on the Tequila. That went well, and we crunched more numbers and shifted dates around and chatted Plettenberg Bay POP-UP in December. It was fast and furious and so awesome to do business on Selwyn's level. I have to learn how to forget about my past business ways and follow Selwyn. After all he is 10 years ahead of me in the Business Mind game. After all that I picked Joanne up and we popped in to see Kyle Jardine's new studio in Woodstock. Loving his new stuff with space. Then off home as Angelina was at the Beach House for a few days. There was an amazing sunset over the Richard Scott pool. DM me if you want one.

Our wonder life
After a nice long beach run, Joanne made us a yummy supper. It was delicious - a nice fresh salad.
Wednesday was Angelina and Studio day. Angelina studied all day and I Studio-ed all day. LOL.

This weeks old picture is of me and my fist 3 cars. A Nissan Langley that had no key, as it worked on a credit card system back in 1989. My 2nd car a VW beetle that I loved so much. I used to take out the engine every Sunday and put it back just for fun. Later in life I swapped it for two laptops. LOL. My 3rd car and 2nd favorite after my golf 1.8 Citi was my 1989 Golf Gti. I loved that car. I use to race it a bit. This is the first and last car I took the engine off. My dad taught me how to remove the engine with a Block and Tackle and then replace all the piston rings, redo the cylinder head and and and. I won’t bore you but it my dad being the coolest dad as I was a bit of a tinker-er. I still carry a leather man in my pocket that has come in handy over the years.
My first car. A Nissan Langley that worked off a credit card, not a key.
Me and my bug
Me and my Gti. I just worked out that I have owned 8 cars to this day and currently do not own one.
Thursday I was once again in the Gallery. Angelina stayed at home and did her dance thing with friends and I steered the Richard Scott ship from the helm in Woodstock.
Angelique and Chad and I did a full-blown recap of everything happening from Belgium to UK to Plett to tequila to Google Ads. I treated the guys to a burger from Zuney Wagyu. It was incredibly unique. A beautiful sweet caramelized sauce and oh so delicious. They are in Kloof Street next to Engen. I love their marketing. It's genius.
Me and my Zuney Wagyu burger. I give it a 8 out of 10
At 12 pm I popped in to see super human Shaun to discuss the launch of the Richard Scott Dalle Cia collaboration on 28 October. Save the date. News to follow.

Joanne worked from home Friday and that means we can wake up at 7.30 and not 5am. So that was nice. We caught up with emails and banking and went for a run to the end of the road and back. It was longer than our usual road run and felt like 5kn, but only ended up been 1.8km. DAMN. And so, we will improve. After that we headed to the Gallery with Angelina. It was my turn to man the shop and Angelique had some cleaning up to do in Franschoek and Chad was on study leave. Angelina came with as we made plans to take her to the Doc Martin shop or shall we say “That Shoe Lady” who has the right to sell Doc Martins in South Africa to choose one of her birthday presents. Angelina chose a nice pair. We dropped Angelina at home and Joanne went for a hair appointment. I headed home and used the time to type up this very blog that you are reading right now.

I will put my pen down now (or my hands from the keyboard) and until tomorrow.
Well it's Saturday morning and it feel like Sunday because Joanne worked from home Friday. I just made a nice fire after checking the weather today and its cold, cloudy and windy. I am sitting at the upstairs office overlooking the sea. It is beautiful. Its 9am and Joanne is a little sick in bed. So I I gave her medicine and tucked her in. 30 mins later she is already feeling better. I decided to get the rest of the blog up to date with photos etc. Did you know it takes me about 6hrs a week to do it?
It is currently load shedding so I can’t make myself coffee. Well, actually I can, on the gas stove, but I'm feeling lazy. Joanne and I are planning on making a beef lasagna and a lentil lasagna for tomorrow's Sunday lunch.
I finally decided to make a coffee in our Bialetti and had it with the last 4 dates we bought in Dubai.
Sean Weldon framed the Converse box I did for his daughter India
Saturday we caught up with the family and even Tony and Alison Melon gave us a video call all the way from their home in Surrey England. They were hanging out with my Uncle Start and Aunt Jane from Pangbourne. It was nice to chat and catch up. Jane and Alison were modeling the Beach Bags and Jane had some great suggestions on improving the bag. Some inside pockets. Genius. So we are on it for the next batch for you.
