Richard Scott Blog - 4th May 2025

This week was a short week for us with only three days at the helm. Two more public holidays. Monday was Freedom day and Thursday was Workers Day. So, between that and the few days we had for work, not much got done other than book reading and trip planning.

Monday we both got stuck into our books. It was nice to have Angelina around.

Tuesday was studio day and a good to see a collector of my art from way back when; Jesper and Metta. They came to visit all the way from Copenhagen. I remember going to see them from Hamburg one year after one of my many German trips.

Me doing me, showing Jesper and Jan the Richard Scott world.

All the way from Copenhagen, Mette, Jesper, Jan and Lotte.

Wednesday was a town day with a few meetings and then a quick pop in to see the Vases at Mervyn. All is looking good there.

Thursday was feet up and book reading. I managed to photograph all the R100 Street board artworks. They have been around since 2017.

I'm not sure why I didn't paint Ana's Bikini Red from the get go.

And Mandy.

Remember this series?

The opposite side. Do you have one?

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were all the same. Wake up, run, small amount of admin and then book.

It was Amy's 27th Birthday Party Saturday and we all had a get together and celebrated with a Joanne Scott NOMM NOMM breakfast. From left to right: Angelina, Dean, Daniella, Myself, Joanne, Amy and Chad.

Philip Powell sent me this pic as a blast from the past and his quote was "A wannabe between 2 legends 👍". Hee Hee. The gentleman on the right is arguably South Africa's best cricketer ever, Barry Richards.

Sunday morning we woke up and decided to go show Angelina the Vegan Market out in Tokai that happens once a month. She enjoyed it thoroughly as did we.

Off we go.

Nomm Nomm. Joanne and I enjoying the spoils.

So, I am gonna close off and say goodbye.

Until Next Week.
